HELP! I drug home my dream truck swb 72 bump from nebraska and I have gone thru the brakes got a new starter solenoid and volt reg the ignition switch is lyin on the seat I need to know what wires go where on the 6 pin switch and when I put the positive cable on the battery it starts to turn over on its own Im tryin to get it ready for carcraft show in july you guys are so good at helpin thought I might strike a vein of knowledge and get some help thank you for your time and info
thanks for the pics I now realize that i am missing the plug for the back of the switch ordered one from the local parts store. really! thanks for all the help I really do appreciate it

If it Looks good and Works good then it's ok by me. Everything has its issues from time to time...

first picture 1969 wiring.
second picture 1976 wiring.
third picture is of a 1972 full gauges ignition switch plug.
all the 70-72 will have 6 spades that the plug plugs onto. i am not sure if all the terminal spades are used in all the 70-72 plugs. they may be. i didnt look.
