Thanks to this thread in the Engine forum: http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... =3&t=58818
I'm getting more and more good info on doing an engine/tranny swap later this summer. Due to some limitations with my shoulders (2 trips to the sawbones), I need to find out how to pull the grille and get the radiator core support out. DON'T want to pull the entire front clip...would like to leave the quarter panels, inner wheel skirts, etc....just pull enough off the front to get the support out so I won't have to lift an I-6/C6 combo up and over the rad support when I do the swap. I found the tech article on replacing a rotted rad support, but it doesn't show me how to get to the support and get it out...and my old Clymer's manual ain't great in the body dept. Anyone know of any threads that show this process...here or somewhere's else? I'm visual, so pix go a long way in helping me get stuff done. Thanks.

Re: Radiator support and engine swap
to pull the grille and core support there are about 12 botls for the grille and about 16 bolts for the coresupport. all of the botls except two are up under the fenders in the front. 4 from grille to core support. oops. plus 6 ontop of the fenders. to pull the core support those botls are also under the fenders. plus two through the frame.
to pull the front clip. there are two botls through the frame. 6 through the inner fender mounts. and two on the bottom of the inner fenders. then you may also want to pull the bumper to get it out of the way of the lower valance. then unplug the wiring at the firewall. pulling the front clip is easier with two people. oh and i forgot about the bolt to cab at the fenders. there are two on each side.
