: Hello from Brazil!
Well here we got the two types, the one back of the bed and the other behind the seat. My friends that have F100 with the fuel tank behind the seat, complain about the smell of gasoline inside the cab...
It's not hard to find here a new fuel tank (the back of the bed type) for sale, made of plastic, cost about 150 dollars. If you have interest I can send you one, but, I dont' know about the taxes and stuff...
The Brazil ebay is the Mercado Livre:
http://www.mercadolivre.com.br
But I haven't found fueltank for sale there. Its called tanque de combustÃÂvel.

Thanks for the link ZOEGA. I think I'll need help with the Spanish.
Where is the spare tire when the tank is behind the rear axle?

Welcome.
A dentside is a US 73-78(79?) instead of the raised "arrow" down the side it is a concave area. Many refer to the 67-72 as "Bumpsides" or "Bumps" and the 73-78 as "Dentsides" or "Dents".
Nice truck you have there....

John, here in Brazil we speak portuguese, not spanish...
But is almost the same, almost...
The spare tire stays on the bed, there is a right place for it (with a screw/nut), you can see in some pics, but most people live the spare tire at any place in the bed...
JWW, thanks man!!
Robert, thanks for the explanation, so I think that down here, we have only the bumps...
Steve, the bigger ones, with dual rear whells are called F-4000. Only diesel engines:

seattle67, obrigado amigo! (thanks buddy!)
With a nice truck and a beautiful girl, what else can I want?
craftsman, thanks man!

Thanks, Lucas. We love pictures here. Do you have much of a problem with rust down there? Do you know much about the diesel engines in the F4000?

Hey ZOEGA....
Great pics... thanx man...
Let me get this straight...
If one of us wanted to, we could get an '86 Brazialian bump truck with a desiel already in it ???
How much would one of those cost?
Man, I might have ta take some Portuguese lessons and start shipping trucks...
Maybe, I could bring a load of FE V8's to ya and swap them for an '86 desiel and an unattached gal to ride home with me...

: Hello from Brazil!
Steve, yes, rust is a big problem here.

But we use some produtcs called Ferrox or TF7, wich help contain and stop the rust. Some cases like this above, we have to do some welding to...
Diesel engines are very common here, 80% of the trucks use diesel. The F100, F1000 and F4000, uses like 5 diferent tipes of diesel engines, most of the time with turbo. Even the new ones, like the F-250, Ranger, S-10, Silverado, Dodge Ram are prefered with diesel, because the autonomy and economy, diesel here costs like 1.80 reais per liter, gasolina costs like 2.50. A 4 cilinder turbo diesel does like 10 kilometers with 1 liter and runs for 500-700.000 km, if well taken care. But if you want to buy a diesel engine, its expensive. Its like 3 or 3.500 dollars a common 4 cilinder diesel running. A gasoline one, costs like 1.000 (6 cil or a y-block 8 cil).
Howdy Jonh! Do you have some cattles there? We can exchange
I'm a farmer here...
Hey kaptnkaos! Well, a good 86 bump with diesel engine will cost something like 9.000 dollars, but depending on what you want, you can find one for 2.000 dollars (I paid this in mine) or 30.000 dollars for a collector item. But I don't know about the taxes and exportation stuff...
And about the swap V8 for a bump, its a deal! Bring the V8s!
...
Much people here are crasy about old cars, v8 n' stuff, but few people go for it, if you don't know how to spend your money, ends up like a very expensive hobby... We don't have much v8 engines and old muscle cars, trucks. The most popular v8 its the 302 and the 292 (y-block)Ford and the Dodge 318, most the carburators are 2 barrel (holley or motorcraft), and thats it. There are some chevy 350, flatheads, and others, but if you want to get on really, you have to appeal to Summit...
That's a dodge charger 318, all rebuilt here with parts from EUA:

Thats a Ford Maveric 302 v8, been rebuil, also with import parts:

The F100s are easyer to do some restoring job, we have many body parts for sale on stores yet...
But two things that I miss here (we don't have) are the longbed and the 4x4 (only came in the 95's)...
One more thing, this is a wild video of a brasilian charger:

re: Hello from Brazil!
This has come up before. I wonder how much it really would cost to ship parts from Brazil to here.
One of those grilles with the stacket headlights or some of the interior items. I remember they use the F600 gauge panels there also. The ones with the round gauges. They only came in the F600 and bigger trucks here. Lots of guys (including myself) have switched over to this style of gauges. It is a popular upgrade.
I'm going to look into shipping charges.
