This part is probably not something very many of you have seen before....except here on FORDification, in my project update pages. I pictured this a while back, though this shot is from a different angle.

Very few bumpsides had these, as they were only for use with a specific option. What is the part, where is it used and what option was it used with?

a bolt on skid plate or splash guard of some sort.

looks small, like some sort of clamp. maybe for the behind the seat storage bin thingie.

Maybe a brake line bracket or extension? Keith you make my head hurt :doh: It is kinda fun though

It is for the behind the seat stowage compartment. Now I'm gonna guess that it helps to mount the box in the truck :wink: Now I can get a good nights sleep. :zz:

Dang it 4x4x4,You beat me to it!I have the tool box in my truck also. :cry:

The bolts for the rear cab mounts goes through it and the box bolts to the small stud.

:lol: Well, at least it took a couple hours for you guys to get this one. Yes, this is the rear cab hold-down plate for trucks with the behind-the-seat storage compartment. There are two holes drilled into the bottom of the storage compartment that are a hair smaller than the diameter of the acorn nut on this plate, and the compartment sets down on these acorn nuts.

I think I'm gonna call two winners on this one. ezernut9mm kinda called it...I suppose you might loosely call this a clamp, though it was 4x4x4crewcab who positively identified it, so they get to share this one. :thup:
