is how to crank up the fuel, and you'll have to get a replacement spring for the governer if you want it to rev higher than 2700(most people do). Those are readily available for under $20 usually. The new spring is availavle in 3200, 4200, and higher rpm.

Bunch of 4bts coming up on the next dovebid auction... Chevy drivelines though. May watch just to see what they go for.
Still eating popcorn and watching this thread... Did manage to clean some of the gunk off the 6.9 yesterday. Looking at mid August for the swap

Finally... Here's some 4BT bumpside pics of my '71. The truck needs a bath, but the pictures give an idea atleast.

I can't get a good angle on the ground to show the tranny. I'll get it on the rack and take some pics for that. The t-case is a BW 1356. Not my first choice, but the goal of this truck was to look pretty and pull down MPG. The mazda 5 speed and 1356 do that pretty well. Actually, now that I've driven it quite a bit I've got a lot more respect for these parts. They're holding up real well to everything I do with it.
The tranny mount is the stock one. Ford's used the same tranny mount bolt spacing and size from the 60's through 2008. I just dropped the crossmember onto the lower frame lip and had to modify it a bit for front driveline clearance. The picture shows that part.
One things that's not arguable is how much attention this truck gets. Everyone stares. I get used to just popping the hood and leaving it up when I go somewhere.

Here's a couple frame stand shots for you Mike.
A clean old lifted highboy gets looks going down the road period, but this thing makes you feel like a celebrity!
The 4BT is cool. Nobody has anything bad to say about them. People are always suprised when they hear it first then they find out what's in there and see for themselves just how big it isn't. It moves the truck down the road great. While it doesn't have burn the tires power it more than makes up for that with rediculous low end torque. I like it. I'm still going with the six in my '70, but the 4BT truck might stay on as my economy car. How many can say that? "Yep, with the price of gas these days I had to downsize to a 5500 pound lifted highboy".
