Shackle flip

Post by koch68 »

I am wondering if flipping the rear shackle and re mounting it in the same bolt holes if the bed will still sit down on the frame. It looks like the shackle would be to high. I do not want any sort of body lift either. Just need about 2-3 inches of rear lift.

Your best bet for a couple of inches is either a spacer block with longer U bolts ,or an "add a leaf."
four wheel drives come with a lift block from the factory and you can safely add another 2 inch spacer.

I thought about add a leafs but didnt want to stiffen tge ride any more then it allready is. I think im gunna grt the skyjacker rear 4 inch springs delete the block and use a 2 inch or 3 inch block to level to my front

Spacer blocks aren't considered safe on the front axle , supposedly they get loose and can affect steering.

Sorry to drag this one back out but could you be more specific on the "super duty springs"? What years are you using on the front?
