Looking for 78/79 dana 60 front

I'm in the Eugene Or area if anyone has or knows of one anywhere nearby. Nearby meaning in Oregon, seems to be quite a few guys here from the pac nw

These are getting harder and harder to find. I found one for my crewcab but I had to buy the whole truck that was on top of it. The guy didnt want to part it out. althought It was a 1970 f250 4x4 he really had to pull my arm to do it. I havent seen one for sale since but ill start keeping an eye out.

Yes it is and I've looked and gave up several times over but now I've just posted on a couple of forums and a wanted on Craigslist to see what happens. I have a 77 low pinion 60 that I had decided to build into what I want like what was done in another thread and may still. But would much rather just start with an original. Thanks for the reply

They are on craigslist often around a grand. I have one under my '70 and one under my '96 Dodge.

78/79 60's aren't but ones from later model trucks are often and for that price. Having said that, I did find one in Washington about a week after posting this. I got the 60 front and rear with all the drivelines, steering components, leaf springs and all for a grand out of a 78 being parted out and I feel that's about as good a deal as one will find. Two have popped up since locally, both for $1600 axle only. Yes they are out there but not very often, and you have to jump quick because they don't last for long

They sit on there for a long time at those prices. You got a good deal. The axle and steering box are good to have.
