Question for those with cargo lights

Post by Madman »

I don't have a cargo light on my truck, but see the wire supplied in my new painless wiring kit.

Is the power supply to the cargo light a keyed source (meaning the key has to be turned to either acc or run) or is it a full time power source?

I would think it is a full time supply similar to headlights but thought I'd ask to be sure.

Thank you!

I'm pretty sure the key doesn't need to be on for the light to work. Just pull the knob.

Thanks, that is what I suspected but I just wanted to be positive.

I agree, it's definitely a "power always available" light. I just used mine this weekend: truck off, keys in my pocket.
