Tach conversion in a f 600 cluster

Post by 1968f250429 »

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone who has put a cluster from the F600 in their trucks that had a factory tach in it.

If so whom did you use to convert it to electric? I found several places that do this but wanted some opinions of others before I send mine off. Pictures would be great also to see the difference between different peoples work.
Tell about how you like the conversion, does it perform as it is supposed to? How easy is it to do this yourself?

I also have a nos gauge that had a wire come loose and was wondering who I could send it in to have it repaired. As it's not just a normal soldier that holds it. It looks like a brownish color glue or something. Thanks for any help on this.

The brownish color might be just the flux they used when soldering. Sometimes the flux hardens over the years and looks like glue.
