Best Aftermarket Alternator?

Post by Subzero »

I'm looking to replace my alternator while my engine is out. I like the Powermaster ones with they are pricey. There's 140, 100, and 60 amp outputs I've seen and I'm guessing stock is 60amp? I might get a small sub later on down the line and I do have a modern radio and speaker to be installed. Anyone have one that they've had good luck with? Thanks yall

Get a 3G 130-amp alternator from a mid-90s Ford for as little as $20... at the salvage yard!!!!

... so low buck that I have spares.

Ditto. Whatever you chose, make sure you can get one on a weekend when it craps out on you and you're sitting on the side of the road.
