turn sig. indicator ?

I got a new indicator for my 72 f100, but now i dont know how to get the old one out. One of the plastic horns is broke off so i was going to replace it so it would cancel (i've driven across town with that blinker on before). The old indicator has a metal tab around some round thing right in the middle and i dont know how to get it out..also, the new one has two wires, where do they go?

you have to take the round clip off i think.

The round clip comes off, Pry it carefully.When the top piece comes off the two wires will sow themselves. The new two wires splice into the old two wires.

I prefer to change the whole unit.
