Electrical Connector tools

Post by 1970pickup »

Can someone give me a source to by the tools to remove the pins from the plugs used on a 1970 F-100. I have seen some places selling tools but they are not the right size.

Thanks Jack

Which connectors? The Ford are 0.187" and, as far as I know, just pull apart (gently). I use a small flat driver (jewelers) to separate the pins from the column.

That's what I use, too. Use the screwdriver to depress the tab on the back of the pin, then gently pull the pin out of the connector.
