speedo cable

Post by 19674x4 »

i guess this would be the place to put this.

while driving home the other day a horrible grinding noise began and my speedo began freaking out. so i slowed down to what i would guess to be about 20 mph and the grinding stopped but the speedo kept wobbling. so i picked up speed and it started grinding again the the speedo needle dissapeared and it hasn't came back up since. it's a brand new cable. Whats up :?

Sounds like your speedo died, have you noticed if your odometer is still working?

If it's the speedo, I have one I can sell you.
It worked when removed from the truck. Let me know.

Is there any relationship between installing a new cable and the speedometer dieing? Sounds like the cable is still turning.
