Primer screw up - could use some help

I finally got everything sanded and put on two coats of self etching primer. This was to be followed by a couple coats of high fill primer, until I realized that I mixed the self etching primer with reducer and not activator. The cans looked alike, and I got in a hurry and goofed. Big mistake and I'm still sanding it all off.

Anyway, I know the unactivated primer is no good and I'm pretty paranoid about not getting it all off and having the paint lift later. I was going to re prime the drivers side today, but every time I think I'm ready, I'll find a tiny little spot of the old unactivated primer in corners and hard to get to spots. I've spent a ton of time sanding and I'm running out of good weather to get this finished. If I miss a couple very small and very thin spots, should things still turn out okay?

Have no answer for ya on that but if it was to happen to me i would bite the bullet and make sure i had it all off just so i could sleep better at night. Sounds to me you could use one of those cheap gravity fed media blasters from Harbor Freight to get to those tight spots that are difficult to sand and the job will go much faster with the tool.

Would be helpful to know what product your using.
The Self Etching primer I use (Spies Hecker) only gets mixed with reducer.

I'd use SPI epoxy and skip the etching primer.Results will be better easier and cheaper. Check out SPI user forums.

It was matrix 550 self etching and is mixed 1:1 with activator.

Wish I had used epoxy now, I went with what the guy at the paint store suggested. I did have some places on the bed with surface rust and I think that's why he suggested it.

I finished spraying primer today, so tomorrow is more sanding......
