clear or green tint

Post by shortbedCUSTOM »

I was just wondering what is factory for our trucks. I came across someone parting out a '67 which turns out to be great timing since I'm looking for a few things. Anyway, he has a clear and a green tint rear glass but I'm unsure which one to get. Can someone tell me what the deal is with the green tint?

Clear glass reflects about 10 percent of the sunlight's energy, but glass with a green tint, reflects 30 to 50 percent.

Generally clear is standard and green is an option, most AC cars have green due to the reflectivity of the suns energy.

Personally i'd get green, anything to keep the insides cooler and or protected from uv.

Well, I went ahead and picked up the green tint rear glass. Now I'm hesitant since the rest of my truck's glass is clear. I would hate for it to look odd.

Should be fine. Mine was like that green rear, the rest clear.

VerY hard to notice the tint vs. clear.
Mines a 67 and when I had to replace the wing window all I could get was green. I fretted needlessly, it's not noticeable.

Yeah, I guess you guys are right. Waiting on the chrome trim before I order the seal.
