Nice Price or Crack Pipe?

Post by MadJoe »

Found this little gem of a 1970 F-350 DRW dump body and can't decide if I'm crazy or a genius every time the urge to go buy it strikes me.

How about you guys? I know I have a soft spot for the 350's and especially the DRWs so my opinion is clouded.

Mr Joe , only you can decide that.

My thoughts are if it checks out ok, it looks like a good buy to me.

I don't see how you could go wrong, but that is only my opinion. :fr:

If I was close I'd buy it myself.......you can never have too many.... :D

Problem with me is the wife thinks otherwise because I don't have a garage to keep them in........

Hell, yeah - for $1700 I'd jump on that. She's a beaut :D

Looks like Nice Price it is! Now to convince the wife. Sadly I don't think that will happen, I'm just going to have to be happy with the one I have for now.

Funny enough it's literally sitting right around the corner from my parent's house and my dad has gone by it twice now to see if he can get a look, but it's in the back of the property apparently and the guy won't answer his phone when he calls. Bad timing, I guess. I'm hoping I have a chance to run down there (they're an hour and a half south of me) this weekend, but probably won't. Maybe I can convince the wife to let me go "find out why it's so cheap" so I won't feel like I missed a deal (but that's exactly how we ended up with the one we have, ).

Roof lip rust has me concerned. That's the last week link on mine and everything needs to come apart to fix it. I'd be dropping the headliner and see how bad it is before swapping money.
