I know. The interior looks perfect. The outside needs some work. It looks like there might be some rust in the bed seam on the driver's side. Plus, it looks like the driver's door has been replaced.

Daily driver with iron heads and 12.5:1? Not, unless he only fills up at the airport.
600HP out of a 429 using a dinosaur dual-port Offy and a .535 lift cam? Not.
I'm guessing he's more in the 300-350 horsepower range. No way he's running 12.5:1 on pump gas.
Looks like a $1000-$1500 truck to me.

I want those damned buckets though. And the interior door panels and trim. They all match my Ranger!

I'll flip ya for 'em, kf7!

I'm with Bobby. Something's a little suspicious. Check out the driver's side view of the outside of the truck and the view of the interior, especially what you can see of the cab around the door. Where's the rust on the cab? Maybe that pic was when it was first done but I don't think that's a current pic of the interior.

I'm willing to concede that could be the interior. The exterior on my Ranger is pretty rough right now. Rust, some white primer sprayed on, and various dents and dings from use as a garbage hauler, but with the exception of the carpeting, and cracked vinyl on the door panels, my interior is pristine. Could never tell just be looking at the outside.

Regardless, it's a sweet cabin. I'm going toward the same set up. I think the mustang buckets make it look clean!

Interior picture was taken in a different location, the building is different.

So the factory buckets were mustang buckets rigged for the truck?

New tires with 25 miles on them and has 2 flats :hmm: I'll be honest, I think the interior is a different truck IMO.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It's a rebuilt big block with a 4barrel, so in his eyes it's automatically 600hp...

My buddy had a 12:1 390 that he had to retard the timing so much to make it not ping that my stock 275hp 9:1 390 was faster.

Yep. The '65-'66 Mustang bucket seats were the factory option for our trucks, I think through 1969. The only difference is the mounting brackets to mount the seat to the floor. Here's the dimensional drawings if you want to make your own http://www.fordification.com/tech/bucketseats.htm and here's a thread about somebody who'll make them for you http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... p?p=609244 Since I want to incorporate a console in mine, I'm probably going to build a frame out of tubing to mount mine. I picked up a set from EvilBay for under $200 that are in pretty good shape except for upholstery.

Now i am sitting here thinking of my nearly perfect bench seat, or the sexiness that is buckets.
