Excuse my drool! A 67 @ 38K and the reserve is not met!

And it's right up the road from me here in Tennessee. What an awesome example of our trucks. Randy, didn't you get pics of this one at last years Supernats?

Very nice truck. Too nice for my tastes.

Actually, one of the reasons that I bought this truck is that they are not as popular as other models/makes and they usually do not bring crazy prices. On average bumps are more reasonable to purchase, and so parts follow. These kind of trucks just serve to drive prices up. Lets face it, most of us, and certianly me, can not afford $40K toys.

I have $2800 in a rust free Oregon truck with a good running 460/c6, interior all done and outside not too shabby. I could not do the same with a late sixtys/early seventies Chevy, they bring 3-4 times as much for a comparable truck.

I plan on putting an Isuzu Diesel in my truck next winter, and if I had a Chevy I would have to think twice about it because of the percieved value.

I think I saw that truck at the SuperNats last May!

Edit: Yeah, Jeff! Found a pic of when we went to the show. She was beautiful! I don't know about $40K beautiful but she was really nice.

Gorgeous truck!

I'm confused though, how it could win anything in an "Original" category, when it is a restomod?

I would probably buy it if I could afford it though LOL

Thanks for posting that Jeff.

I love the colors on that truck; they look so innocent and good natured.

I agree with Larry about it being too nice. I'd have a hard time freely driving and using a truck that gorgeous, even for tidy jobs. But it is quite a thing to look at!

Randy, I thought I remembered you posting pics of it. Robroy, I'd also be afraid to drive it! Afraid a rock was gonna scratch the underside of someone hit me or worse! Aint' it funny how ever different sanctioning show group can have different criteria for "stock" and "restomod"! I used to race a stock mud bogger class in my old style Bronco, (the motor was built and nowhere close to stock-but they'd let me in if I pulled 14 inches of vacuum).

Tom,
Nice to see you, and this is such a good example of the parts you provide. Hard to believe the bidding went to $45,100 and the reserve was never met? Is this a record price for a bump era truck?

I saw that truck also,VERY nice. I was surprised it didn't sell, bid was up to 45K. I'm also surprised that some would scoff at what it was selling for. Fact is, these trucks are getting old and everyday many are being sent to salvage. I'm not surprised that collectors are becoming more interested. It makes my 67' Ranger that I'm doing a concourse quality restomod restoration a good investment.
