For junkyard parts, the price is way to much $850.00 for both. If you put some effort into cleaning and polishing, I can see the price. But as is no way.

I did clean and polish the 71-72 grille. That's as good as it got without stripping the anodization and polishing the aluminum itself. Also, the '67 grille is an old picture and I have since beaten out the dents, just haven't been able to pull it out for a new picture.

I am also not expecting people to pay the asking price that is listed! That is why I enabled the "make an offer" option! But went in high knowing people would offer less.

If they don't sell before the listing, I will probably strip them and polish better, and then sell them for even more money.

I can also include the inserts on the 71/72.

 I know it's not easy! That's why I'm trying to sell them BEFORE I strip and polish... I have a lot of respect for you that strip and polish often... and if they don't sell, these will be my first test subjects for just that!

Just to let you know, you were very right. I ended up selling the '71-'72 for $200 and the '67 for $325. So no where near $850, but I did manage to get $525 for the pair, and I think that is fair.

I'm glad you got that much for them. Polishing is not an easy job. When polishing a grille, it will make your butt hole pucker. Not an easy job. Very easy to destroy a part also, easy to loose parts of your body if not careful.

Yes! I have a friend locally who is a professional polisher for a local injection molding company. I had him polish a set of West Coast Jr.'s that I donated to a young boy's Make-A-Wish. Anyhow, on one of the side mirror retainers the part came loose and cut him pretty badly. I felt bad, but even he has encouraged that if I get into it to use extreme caution!
