My grilles have sold for over $1600.00 Often times I get calls or emails from a restoration shops paying $1500.00 without any hesitation.
When you want the best, you buy the best.
Other people just make stupid comments.

You can't find one of these in this condition. I completely restored this one.
I've restored over 400 grilles, been doing it for about eight years.
Nothing out there compares to my grilles. I guess you can have it redone at a shop, but the cost might be more depending where you live.

You should look for a polishing/plating shop close by you. Reason is, shipping. Before any work is done, you'll need to ship it to me then pay for shipping back to you. Construction of a box so it gets to me safely.
So lets say you made a good box to get it to me, price = ? $25.00 shipping depending on size of box $80-150.00 You have to follow UPS and FEDEX guidlines for size and weight. Then shipping back to you. Low side $185.00 high side $325.00
After that we can discuss the restoration of your grille.
I have no control over shipping charge, I just know when I take them a package I have to pay what they tell me. Actually it cost me more because I insure my package for what the buyer buys it for. Or in this case what it's worth.
Just like any body shop, I cant give you a quote over the internet, I need to see it. Pictures only get a ball park figure.
Take a picture of my grille to a polishing shop, tell them you want your grille to look just like this. Let me know how much they charge and what quality you get.
Most shops won't touch it because it is to thin, most shops won't weld a crack because it's to thin. Most shops won't polish because..... NO ... It's dangerous!!
Any way food for thought. Let me know what you decide. If you want to send it to me I'm more than happy to fix it up for you. Turn around time is usually three weeks from the time it reaches me.

All I can say is you get what you pay for. I have a grille that Robert did for me and my crew cab will be wearing it proudly very soon. While my grille was not that price since it is a 70-72 style, a 69 Ranger grille is hard enough to come by in just okay condition. Robert's are better than new...

I've followed "Robert's" grilles for a few years now.

Based on all I have seen (eBay listings, forum posts, etc.) He is definitely "OC" when it comes to grilles.

And, that's obsessive-compulsive and not on-crack.

You have to be O-C to get those kinds of results!

Thank you for the kind words. I don't know how much longer I'll be doing these grilles. Recently the buffing machines are getting scary.
One of my partners was doing a grille on the other machine when it caught an edge of the grille. The grille jerked in his hands and ripped the skin off the top of two of his fingers, down to the bone.
A few months back one of the other guys was polishing a steering wheel when the buffer grabbed, it spun his arm something fierce then flung him in the air. End result, two plates in his forearm, many screws in his hand and three fingers mangled.
And these guys have been doing this for many more years than I have. They taught me what I know. So odds are not in my favor.
The only thing keeping me at it, is I like the end results of my grilles. I like it when a customer sends me pictures of his/her truck with my grille on it.
I've done over four hundred grilles. Last month the buffer caught me and twisted my arm, I was able to let go before any real damage occurred.
This is a dangerous hobby for little money, even though many people think my prices are high the payout isn't worth a damn if I lose an arm.
I am slowing down a bit, but damn do I like seeing these grilles in show quality fashion.
