Wiper linkage help please 1968 F100

Post by jaderose »

My wiper motor has come unmounted and I need to remount. The problem is that I can't get everything apart! Is there a clip on the back of the linkage that connects the arm from the motor to the 2 cross arms that go out to the wipers? How do you remove that clip if there is one? Good Lord...I never expected this to be so darn hard! :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:

Just had to change the driver's side assembly out when someone yanked the wiper arm across so hard that it bent the spindle. There was a c-clip on that end, so I'm guessing it's got the same arrangement elsewhere on the mechanism. Ford liked to put the on the back where you can't see them or reach them. If you haven't already, take the dash out. It makes things a lot easier.
