My gear shifter snapped

Post by tylerockit »

Hi. I was wondering if anyone could help me, I have a 1972 f250 and for the past few weeks I have been having trouble shifting my truck into gears, especially trying to shift it into park when I stop the truck.
Today I went to start my truck and tried to use automatic shifter attached to steering wheel and it just snapped off at the base. It's a white metal that has broken which goes around the steering column... does anyone know what this part is called and if I can easily fix this? Thanks for your help...
