Shifter knob automatic

Post by 69Ford »

I ordered a shifter knob form LMC was later style than mine so I restored mine. Used a dremel tool to grind out the cracks about halfway through. Put JB weld into the ground part let set up over night and sanded to my liking. Then painted. Also a chrome f500 cluster sold last night on Ebay. winning bid $147 Hope somebody on this site got it. It appeared better than mine and had the SW Tach.

Let's hear it for patience and JB Weld!

Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in garages. (Apologies to Kenneth Grahame.)

Dumb question for you.... How do you get the knob off the shift arm? Is it threaded on?
