Bucket seat carpeted gas tank cover
I recently got a factory bucket seat setup for my f100 and it came with the factory carpeted gas tank cover. It included the chrome trim, a couple of metal brackets (I assume to hold the carpet down), and the old carpet piece that I can use for a template (carpet is faded). Does anyone have a picture of how all of this attaches. I can make it work but would rather not guess when it comes to drilling and mounting hard to find parts in a freshly painted cab.

I am thinking of doing the same thing. Where did you get your seats setup and how much?

Re: Bucket seat carpeted gas tank cover
I got everything from a local swap meet. The guy had a bunch of bump side stuff. I had never seen the factory gas tank cover so I jumped on it. I bought a bunch of stuff from the guy so I don't know what the break down was on the prices. I think that Rod Doors makes a fiberglass or some type of plastic gas tank cover. Had I not found the factory stuff I would have looked into it. Gotta have something to cover the tank if you have bucket seats in my opinion and relocating the tank is out of the question for me.

I will try to take some pics and post them but technology has not been working out to well for me. I tried to post some pics of some wheels I am selling and for the life of me I couldn't make it work.

I have never seen that pic before. It looks like it mounts up alot closer to the window than I figured it would. I still have to try to dig it out to post the pictures of the other metal bracket things that the seller included and swore were part of the gas tank cover setup. Thanks for the picture though, that helps considerably.

Re: Bucket seat carpeted gas tank cover
I've removed mine because the carpet was rotting, but I kept the trim that holds it up. Here are pics of the mounting holes. You can see the outline the trim left on the back of the cab. Can you give dimensions of the piece you bought? It will make replacing it much easier.
