The hood may fit, but is very wrong.

The '79 has a mated tranny and t-case. You can run it if you run the 79 front axle.

The hood won't work unless you also use the dentside radiator support and hood latch. On our bumpsides, the latch is on the hood and the catch is on the radiator support, but on the dentsides the latch is on the radiator support and the catch is in the hood.

The 79 has a married transfercase.

Take all of the 78-79 power steering setup. its an easy swap and a lot better design then the '77.5-down
