I need new mounts for the 67 tcase mounts, I would prefer poly, but new oem replacement parts is ok. Any one know where I can get them.

i ordered mine from the ford dealership.never thought about Jeffs.price was not much more at the ford dealer.

you can ford a river or stream and get to the other side, if you dodge it you will not, and if you drive a chevy to the levee it will run dry and the music will die.

Ice did you get original rubber? I didn't like the decayed rubber originals and figured the polys would last a little longer and not give as much as the rubber under load. Plus my dealership wanted close to 120 for all of them. :x

they were the original style rubbers.
i have bought a couple sets over the years, just did not ever think a poly was made.i always bought the poly for radius arm bushings and the like but i can get those at the auto parts store.

i ordered the old round early 60s style engine mounts from the same place, when i got them they were in a Dennis Carpenter package.
DC had them on backorder, so i went to the dealer, that time they added on a nice markup.
the dealerships can be a pain, they want to sell parts and accessories for new stuff, not look thru the microfiche.i try to always have a ford part# , i found you get better service that way.

if you add the 2 auctions together to get the 4 of each needed, its more than i paid at the dealer.i might have the receipt somewhere, i like to keep those things.

I would recommend staying away from polyurethane. Its gets noisy with age.

Well I got the polly from Jeff's, the originals have the steel washers inbeaded in the rubber, I had to provide washers for the top. The old bottom halfs not in to bad of shape I'm gonna hang on to them. if noise gets to bad maybe half and half lol.

I had the popping out issue on my old 24 case with the new poly bushings, it ended up being worn out shift forks letting loose all the time. Lucky you it was just bushing play :wink: I see you have only one post :wel:

Just grease the poly bushings when you install them, they won't squeek. The rubber T-case bushings are too soft for me. Alot of torque combined with towing will make a guy hate those rubber mounts. I run the poly mounts from Jeff's and a cut down dentside strut rod with a poly bushing in it too. I'm going to build a new, sturdier strut before I get the truck on the road with the 5.9.

Thanks fella. I just couldn't let this one go by. I've also found that on the NP205 (and the Dana 24 as well, I think) there's a small inspection plate on the back of the case - you can weld a brace to this plate, and back to the nearest crossmember using round stock. This can help too. It's just a steel disc, so it's not like you're ruining the case whatsoever.

Yep thats what Average250 was talking about, I have one in storage but haven't gotten around to mounting it on the 205. :wink:

On my poly bushings I haven't heard a complaint(noise) from them, might be covered up by the exhaust or radio. :doh:

The 205 strut stuff is found under alot of 73-77 F-250 4x4's. It works great if you're running a 205. I tried to make a good strut setup for my 24, but never got one that worked as good as the factory 205 stuff.

Have you figured the drivetrain angle you're going to run with the late model mated case in your '67?

Late model Fords use a much longer mated case setup than an early 435/205 or C-6/205 was. The BW 1356 is long enough that it runs into the cab floor crossmember in the rear if you run the normal 4x4 5 degree angle. I had to run the cummins/M5R2/1356 in my '71 at 6.5 degrees to clear the cab floor by 1/4" at the t-case. I had to run a HP front axle for the front driveline angle to be acceptable.
