ttb conversion

Has anyone done this? Would it even be possible to do? I just thought about it, haven't done any research yet but will over the next couple of days

Twin traction beam, It's the funny looking 4wd front axle that has a pivot point for movment and not a solid axle tube like a 44 or a 60. Their on 80 something fullsize and broncos if i remember correctly?

well i have a spare 68 2wd frame and a spare 90 f150 frame with ttb. Also I've own a 89 f250 with ttb axle for years and know quite a bit about them. I figured that would be the most ecconomical way for me to get a 4wd truck.

I've seen a couple old fords that have been swapped onto 80's TTB 4x4 frames. They look really odd. The old body doesn't come close to fitting the new frames. The trucks were hacked up scrap haulers, but they worked.

The TTBeams are shorter than your I-Beams by a good amount.
TTB really sucks, too.
I have an 88 Bronco.
I'm a big poster on www.FullSizeBronco.com, too.
F-250/F-350 TTB is different than F-100/F-150/Bronco, a good deal different.

Well today I did some looking into the feasability of the swap. I decided it ain't worth it. I am gonna sell the 90 rolling chassis to fund a D44 hp to use in my swap. I think that would be easier overall. Like I sad in the original post, I hadn't done any research, it just kinda popped into my head. I know you guys all say that the eaasiest way to swap to 4x4 is to buy a 4wd chassis, but that just isn't feasable for me to do at this point, so I figured I'd check and see what y'all thought.
