No Instrument Lights!

Post by thorn1968 »

I've not got instrument lights!
I changed the headlight switch, the (spring looking coil) resistor was broken and all tangled up. I changed a couple of blown fuses, turn signals work now. There's only one fuse left that I can't find. It's the really small one (2amp I think). Would that cause the instrument lights to not work? :hmm: Where would I find one? O'riely's doesn't have them, or seem to want to help find one. :x

Thanks!

thorn,

Check out where the bulb sockets twist into the back if it's a circuit board. Sometimes they need the ground tabs bent back to properly ground the bulbs. Also look closely at the board where the harness plugs into for deteriated connection, (possibly need to replace the circuit board).

bigdoug, When you can pull the fuse box from the firewall(unhook the battery). Look at where the wiring feeds the 2A fuse connects to the back. I've found the "eyelet" type electrical connector was corroded. Easy fix to replace the connector if that's it.

Thanks Basketcase!
I'll give it a look later, no circuit board on my instruments, all wired. I'll give all the connections a look.

Any one know where to get the 2A fuses?
