I beams/ Radius arms

Post by F250NZ »

Hi, I lifted up the front of my 1970 f250 from the middle with a large trolley jack, so both front wheels were off the ground and when I released it back down to the ground it split all the bushes at the back of the radius arms. These were only just replaced. Can anyone please tell me why this has happened. Thank you

It's called the "Bronson syndrome" and happens all the time. Our bump era trucks were never made to be jacked from the middle like a lambroghini:

That may be a cause of cheaply made bushing. Everyone always claims quality in there parts. But not all statements are true.
