1970 f250 disc conversion

Post by lloyd70cs »

Hi guys

I'm so slow on this disc brake conversion stuff. There must be a hundred or so threads on this stuff.

I've got said 1970 f250 camper special 2wd. Looking at 1978 f250 2wd with disc. If I take i beams through to spindle does that work? Just have to remember in future all parts are 1978 for front end I guess. Thanks!

And I think I need the proportioning valve off the 78. Everything else available new.

Checked out the 78 and took measurements. The distance from I beam bolt to I beam bolt is different by quarter inch (can't remember exact dimension just now). Distance from I beam bolt to king pin is identical and from I beam bolt to pitman arm? Same. Is only difference the king pin size?
