F-100 vs E-150

Post by Pointman »

:? I searched and read until my eyes fell out but I can't find an answer to this question so I'll ask here. Is there any difference between the front suspension on a F-100/150 and the van counterparts E-100/150? The years in question would be 1967-1972 and/or 1973-1979. I would assume that they are built on the same chassis but can't prove it. Thanks in advance

The one ton series are the same thru those years for the F-350 / E-350 and the P-350 series. I bought the complete front end from a P-350 and put it under my F-350, (spindles / bearings / drums / brake pads). I also remember scrapping out a 72 E-150 and believe it had the same parts as our bump tucks.
Might want to check these guys out and give them a shout for some part numbers:

SOLD-71 F-350 dually flatbed, 302 / .030 over V-8 with a "baby"C-6, B & M truckshifter, Dana70/4.11 ratio, intermittent wipers, tilt steering, full LED lighting on the flat bed, and no stereo yet (this way I can hear the rattles to diagnose)! SOLD!
Many Ford bumps / one 76' EB / and several dents through the years.
A lot of "oddball" Ford parts collected from working on them for 34 years now!

I believe that the individual parts are differnt. The front suspension can be swapped including the pitman arm.

Thanks guys. There's a E-250 for sale for $75 but I'm not sure I want to change my 100 to a 250. I'm not planning on hauling heavy loads so . . .

But again, thanks.

Sorry, haven't checked my posts in a while. I'm in Boise ID area. The van is gone now but there's always a deal on CL.
