Transmisson Swap

Post by jf100 »

I have a 69 F-100 CC Right now it has the original 302 and c-4 trans. I am putting in a 75 30 with a C-6 trans. I have a two piece drive line. 1st) do I need to move the transmission mount on the frame? 2nd) will I need to get the yolk that comes out of the C-6 as it came out of a van? Thank you for any help.

Well i think your missing a digit but its a 302? Right? Second if that were to be the case any reason for ditching the C4? you could simply bolt the 302 right to it. Secondly i would get the output yoke from the C6. Finally the conversion may be interesting saying that it is coming from a van. Several c6 tailshafts were different lengths. Let us know what you got there........ :?
