1967 F250 Clutch pedal to tjoint linkage broken

Post by BradleyCollierET »

Hey guys,
I have a 1967 F250 Camper Special. The linkage between the clutch pedal and the tjoint snapped at the 90 degree angle on the pedal side of the rod. It looks like I could attempt to weld it back together. However, I only have a 90 amp welder so it's basically a hot glue gun. Ive done some searching and it looks like that part is only for the 67 year truck and they discontinued the part earlier this year. My question is, if the weld doesn't hold and it breaks at the 90 degree again what are my options for repair? Side note, how would I back the clutch fork to be able to rehang the pedal without damaging it? Thanks in advance guys.

Been there, done that. But I found a replacement from a parts house in Brooklyn, of all places. I do not have access to my records right now, but somehow I found the 67 clutch rod over the phone. I think perhaps someone at Dennis Carpenter referred me to the Brooklyn supplier. Cost less than $20.

Wish I could give you the details!

A piece of grade B7 all-thread two heim joints and two shoulder bolts should be able to replicate the rod if you can't find one :2cents:

Linkage fix

Do you know of anybody with a welder? This can be fixed really easily with the proper equipment.
