2wd dana 60 4wd dana 60 comparison

So I need to know b4 I buy will a Dana 60 from a 67 to 72 f250 2wd truck fit a 67 to 72 4x4 highboy or are the perches different.
1969 ford f100 351w aod
1967 f250 4x4 351c m50d

So far as I know, no. '73-'77.5 2wd vs 4wd perches are located differently due to frame rail widths. But '67 to '72 should be the same.

the width will be the same but i'm not sure if the perch to pinion angle is the same.
i have the factory 1977 manuals and i think they have the driveline angles listed so I'll dig them out today and see if the listed angles between the 2x4 and 4x4 is the same the driveline geometry between the 2 'should' be similar as the '77 are still divorced IIRC.

This is per the ford 1977 Ford factory service manual Vol. 1 page 15-60-8

4X4 F-250 rear axle pinion angle to horizontal 133" WB is 11*
2x4 F-250 rear axle pinion angle to horizontal 133" WB is 7.5*

You can get tapered shims to correct for lifted angles.

Man shows ya how much I actually thought that though never even considered the pinion angle im looking for something pretty much bolt in cause I dont wanna pay someone a couple hundred to change the gears and honestly here in western pa Dana 60 highboy axles are going for 300 bucks or more and im not into paying that when the junk yard charges 75 bucks to pull an axle no matter what it is to bad its not 30 years ago bet they were plentiful back then lol
