How to adjust clutch bands?

the only outer adjustments are for the band tightness. but i dont know if that will help it. it might . i think the band has to be tightened all the way down and then back it off 1 1/2 turns. but dont quote me.

hes out of town now for the holidays,he may be able to help you out.

Slippage during the 2-3 shift is going to be a clutch issue, either due to wear on the friction plates or seal leakage.

The band has no effect on that shift.

One other possibility.  Have you checked the fluid level?
