yea, read you could just keep the shim in order...meausre the lash (before/after) and be good without the gear change....What about the tru trac with 37x13.5" tires...?? and most likely 4:88 gears, so more work....will be changing to the long pinion gear and yolk also since mine has the short one and can cause problems :thup:

I think the tru-trac will be fine behind 460 power. The last sterling tru-trac I installed was under a 91 F-350 crew with an 800 lb/ft 12 valve, S6-650, 205, 3.55 gears and 35" tires. It weighed 7500 empty and would bake the rear tires in 4th at 30 MPH (off idle).

Big blocks don't make power like that, you'll be fine.
