1970 to 1986 engine swap

Post by charliedone1 »

Hope this is a good start to a cool project. Here goes. I have a 1986 f150. xlt lariat 4x4. Got the 351w. Blew 2 holes right through the cast at the bottom of the block. I also own a 1970 f700 22ft. box truck with the 460 in it. Can a swap be done. Or rather how in depth will it be. So cool to meet you all. Any way, thats the quick version. Been a ford guy for 52 years. My first was a 62 galaxy 500. Owned a1970 fairlane w/ the 351 cleveland. Had a 64 1/2 mustang Forgot a lot but dang it im persistant. Here we go. The f150 is a automatic...the stake truck is a 5 spd. manual. 76 ford with the 362. 1980 (think) with the 300 6. Any way gettin sidetracked. What do you all think. Is this doable?

Anything is possible! Firewall or transmision tunnel clearance issues would be my only concern.
