Truck started running like crap. Engine pinging, running rough. Two of the plastic pins under the breaker plate became dislodged and found their way into the centrifugal advance.
They're old and kinda' broken. I knew they wouldn't stay. So I gave them the stink-eye. And superglued the pins back in. Engine now runs fine. Fer now.
I've been looking at pic's of new breaker plates online. None of the pic's or product descriptions show or say anything about the frigging plastic pins!
Which leads to my questions:
Will a new breaker plate come with new plastic pins?
Does anyone have a better solution to my stink-eye/superglue cure?
Does anyone have a substitute solution for the plastic pins?
Breaker plate woes.
