352 no good ready to build this 390
So I have decided to scrap the 352 that came in my 67 f100 because it keeps bending pushrods, so instead of throwing money at the lil 352 im going to to start putting into a 390 that's .30 over that I acquired form Calfdemon. I have never built a motor before and neither has Calfdemon so any input will be greatly appreciated. I'm not looking to build a race motor just a reliable motor that has some power when the throttle opens up.

My advice is to assess the condition of the 390 you're starting with. Does it currently run? If so, I'd start with a leak down test as this will indicate where this motor is weak. You just may get lucky and not have to do much to it.

The 390 is a recently machined .30 block and a bunch of mis. pats from calfdemon's 72, So i'll have to build it. Normal rebuilding kits are inexpensive and will have everything you need in one box.
I could recommend a book - but that might be a bit self serving

Would you happen to have any links to sites regarding the aforementioned rebuild kit? Also what book might you recomenf I have two books on rebuilding BB ford motors.
