Rebuilt 390 by me

Post by hotrodfeguy »

It was a balmy 34 here last week before it went to below zero here now. But I was abale to fire this engine up and break in the cam and stuff. Granted it has the old re-used VC's but turned out very well. Was a copy grind of a Lunati Voodoo cam 390 9.5 2V pistons, T 4V manifold with 1" spacer, 1850 Holley, Flo-Tech headers. basically just a good old budget build for a bumpside.

Sounds good and tight  Like Stepside (RIP) once said "firing a new engine and letting it run is like hearing a newborn child cry for the first time"

The X doesn't mean anything on the FE.
How ya been Two Bit? Since we met I have done my truck welded a few 427's and have bought all kinds of toys. Sonic tester, mill for heads and blocks, boring bar, seat and guide machine all good stuff :D

Nice work, completely jealous of the tools/stacked engine blocks. very nice. Once I
I get some more mechanical work done on my 72 I have plans to build a 390 fe. Looking forward to it.
