Ignition Switch

Post by travis6370 »

Went to change my ignition switch on my 69 with what seems to be a 78 wiring harness. Well the plug behind the key switch was kind of melted and the yellow wire was barely held in there. What does the yellow wire run to and should I be worried about the clip being melted? I ordered a new color coded harness to replace that plug behind the ignition switch too

The yellow wire comes from the battery. What clip?

The harness is and plug should be replaced. The harness pig tails are crimp connectors. It helps to have a good crimping tool.
