It should be almost obvious where it needs to be cut. It's the same contour as the smaller opening, just a few inches over. I haven't seen a radiator with the top hose on the driver side, other than one with a flexible universal hose on it. Is your hose smooth and premoulded like a factory one? It could be factory, but it could also be for a later model truck.

I've studied this pretty hard and it looks like if its the small radiator like I have the inlet is drivers side.
If its an A/C radiator or super cooling its on passenger side.
1968 F100 SWB Flareside, 240-6, 3 speed, 3.70 rear, bone stock and rust free.
