That's my feeling too, and I think they look better that way on the pickups.

The 69 posted above was one of the cleanest restorations I have ever laid eyes on. Now I know what mine looked like in 69. The green 71 I think on the second page is from Ga. It was a very clean truck and looked great. He gave me a lot of good ideas for my 69. I can't wait till next year but looks like I will still be working on mine. But hey just nice to go and see all the hard work people puts into them. Can't wait till it is my turn to have mine being admired hopefully. Nice work Keith!

dcbullet wrote:Lot of great looking trucks there. A couple of things I noticed.

The grills. What a collection of super shiney and straight grills. They all look great!

The rear sport bumpers. I guess to enter you need to have one. It would be nice to see a real clean stock truck with the step bumper, if just to be different.
Well there was a lot of thaose grilles that were steel and had been chrome plated. SOmething that I have been wanting to do but no one seemed to have done it till I went to that show. That is the best way to have a grille and it doesn't turn or scratch like aluminum.
