So long as you don’t buy her something last minute at the pharmacy, you’ll probably be okay.

Manny, sorry I am new on these Boards...well any boards. I read them but have never commented. I am looking at doing the same (roof) fix on two 1977's (one 2 wheel F150 and one F250 High Boy). I have never welded anything except a fire ring a t a friends house that meant NOTHING if I screwed it up. So anyways, a couple questions Please
What equipment are you using to weld with. Are you using a MIG welder. I am good with body work but HATE IT. I do not plan on doing much welding except repairing these two roofs and maybe bed panels on the one truck. I do not want to spend a lot on the welder either. So any HELP would be appreciated...such as a reference to which type and brand you used.
Thanks, Dave
Appreciate the pictures. Couldn't have been at a better time to convince me to try it.

Current machine is a hobart 187 230 volt. using 75/25 standard gas. .030 wire standard stuff. It works great for this but it's overkill for just sheet metal work. stay away from flux core, and the cheapy 110volt stuff. There are some 140-150 machines i have heard alot of good about. Glad somebody is also going what the heck i'll fix it just gotta try it already rusty can only get better.

So i'm back work has been mayhem. 6:00am to 3:45Pm that night 11:30 to 5:00am the next morning 10:30 to 1:00pm office stuff then next 7:00 to 3:30 like being in constant jet lag. However the shop has had some activity. built 2 9 inch rear chunks. Still gotta do a t-18 and a bronco dana 20.

two weeks ago Paw Paw. Wifes grandad came by. We were just shooting bull and i asked him what about that dent. The old Bodyman jumped in and taught me some tricks got it real close just need some more heat and love.

Right on! You can learn something everyday! And at the same time you were able to enjoy some good company and make some good memories.
