This little truck is sweet. I really dig that it's four wheel drive. I'm excited to see what direction you go with it. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Lone Ranger!

I accomplished very little on the truck over the weekend. Had too many errands to run. Also ripped old cabinets out of the house. At any rate, the old timing chain cover is now off. It had enlarged and stripped bolt holes for the fuel pump mount. I will be pulling the one off the parts truck along with several other needed parts soon. Hoping to have an open day soon.

Had some free time last night and got several parts pulled from the parts truck. Only twisted off one bolt too. Everything was stuck together quite well from age, rust, dirt, grease, etc. The radiator from the parts truck is in really great condition. I'm really hoping there isn't something I missed.

Since I had to take some things apart, I decided to go ahead and do some cleaning and painting before I put everything all back together. It is funny how much of a difference some fresh paint can make.

I also pulled the master cylinder off of the parts truck since my 71 didn't come with one. It will work for now, but I plan on getting a booster.

Got it running well enough to take it for a spin around the place. :hd: Perhaps not the wisest decision all things considered, but I just couldn't resist. Man, talk about a satisfying feeling. I really like the way it handles even in its current state. It is so different than my 69 daily driver. I quickly discovered that I still did not have brakes, but crisis were avoided. The engine still isn't running quite right though. Fuel flow seems to be inconsistent. I put a spare electric fuel pump in and that helped. It acts like the carb still isn't adjusted right.

Awesome! Isn't it great how a 5$ can of paint and some elbow grease can make it look brand new!? Keep up the good work

It sure is. I can handle the spray paint cost and elbow grease any day. It's now gotten to the point where I need to drop a few more $$$ into her to move forward. To do things right at least.
