I like it, have a set of hot rod cams for it I've yet to install. I'm using frpps control pack to run it.

I can't remember the exact model of the lift, but it's rated for like 9000 lbs. It's the narrow model so I could fit it in garage. No problems other than my truck is dang near too wide for it.... I never planned on having anything other than cars on it when I bought it.

The filler is just open to the top of tank with lid up. I cut the factory cab filler down to about 2" tall, then just used the hose that came w mustang tank to attach it. Just door and twist off cap. I'll get a pic ASAP.

I wonder if you can use a custom tune with that control pack/ecu? Does it still run a stock mustang tune or does it disable certain features?
I still have my sct tuner from my mustang (unlocked). I ran a street tune for a few years which gives more low end tq and man when I returned it to stock I could really tell the difference especially in throttle response.
I must say reading your build and seeing the pics has me super excited about my own 69 build up.
If it's not broke, MOD IT!

It's dumbed down to run the engine only. I know it can be tuned but doubt a "canned" mustang tune would work. The literature says it will run a 3v with stock or hotrod cams. Is there a little more to be had? Probably so.... Don't know if I'll mess with custom tuning unless I go blower or turbo.

Thanks! It's been a long project. I'm happy to be getting a little seat time.

I was re-reading this thread and I notice you said color matched bed liner for the truck. I'd recommend Raptor liner by u-pol.
Here's a thread on it and the results if your interested: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/06-lj ... of-597877/

He used it mixed to match the rescue green on his jeep and it looks fantastic.
Btw, it doesn't require baking, he did it cause he could.

It's what I plan on using on my own. Being a jeep/offroad guy in the past I've seen allot used and this provided the best results I've seen.

I went through the entire thread looking to see where the exhaust exits from under the truck, just curious with the gas tank in the back of the frame?

It's turned down ahead of the axle. I thought it was the cleanest solution, you'd have to tuck it under the frame or go under the tank otherwise.

Thanks.

Another question, did you have to coat the inside of the gas tank? I know on custom motorcycle tanks there is a plastic sealer they use to coat the inside of the tank so it wont rust.

I gotta a question as well about your parking brake. Did you use the explorer cables or F100 cables to the from the caliper to the factory bracket?

Used stock cables, made some adapters to catch the lever on the exploder rear. Image

Thanks for the info on the cables. I think I am going to follow how you dealt with the hydraulic clutch. I work at American powertrain and had planned on using our kit but I like the way you did it. Clean install like that.

Did you like how the Exploder rear end worked out for you? I was wondering about the offset center making the driveline go off at an angle. I have a '02 crown vic rear and a Explorer rear still trying to decide how I want the wheels to set positive or negative. Also I see you posted the master/booster/valve from ebay but did it say it was for any particular vehicle combo? Very cool build you have done great work on this bump.

Got another question for ya...I was looking at the pics of the clutch master cylinder mounted to the pedal box. The side pic looks like the master cylinder sticks past the end of the mount. Does it? I would think the firewall would be in the way.

Never mind on the tank question, I finally found a listing for a galvanized tank.
