I work for the Air Force as a DOD civilian and I've been furloughed twice this year. I couldn't justify insuring and titling another vehicle when I wasn't sure if I was going to get paid or not so my F100 has been patiently waiting in the garage to be driven. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I won't be furloughed again and I can finally put my Bump on the road this spring.

I've finally started the ball rolling to get my Bump on the road. I sent picures and all the documentation to Grundy Collector Car insurance to see if we agree on the value. I should hear from them Tuesday. Then it's off to do battle with DMV to get the title transferred to Delaware. It sounds pretty nasty through the 3-inch exhaust and race bullet mufflers. It scares the crap out of my wife every time I start it in the garage! :D

Looks great! Have you driven it yet? If not, I'm not too sure you'll be keeping those 4.11's
I have 3.50's. Off the line, I can roast my 13" drag radials for as long as I keep my foot in it. If I don't lift out of the gas, it will go around.

BobbyFord,

I'm waiting on the insurance to drive it. I'm sure it will annihilate the tires no problem! I plan on upgrading to 31 spline axles at some point and I'll contemplate a gear change then. I already had the 4.11s and Detroit Locker from a Mustang project.

I just got back from my first drive. Yep it's bad assed! :D I can't wait to get a couple of tanks through it and then beat on it some! It has no problem spinning the tires running down the road.

I took it through the state inspection lane this morning and transferred the title to Delaware. I tried to put antique tags on it and they wouldn't let me because it doesn't sound stock. :D

Ah, the "antique" classification. In Oregon, the formula is some compicated thing that basically adds one newer year of car to the list every other year ('57s finally are antiques here. in 2016, '58s will be).

What about a Special Purpose vehicle registration? I'd say its purpose is pretty special :D
