Re: The Green Beast **Motor Mount Fixed New Cab Mounts**

Post by ford4x4fun »

Didn't get a lot done today. Kind of have to go into clean up mode because after almost 3 weeks I have to back to work tomorrow. So this will probably it for a couple weeks. But I did fit the motor together, and will try to work on it a little after work everyday!

Hey Everyone! Been A long time since an update. Well today I replaced one of the I Beams that had a snapped bolt. And put her back on all 4 tires instead of sitting on jack stands.

Pulled the transmission mount/cross member off of the 79 bronco today. Going to try to get it painted and bolted on to the 71 Frame today. Here are some photos.

Where the transmission mount was!

OK,

So it is hard to get things done between baseball games, and wrestling practice for my two boys but I did manage to do a little work on the truck this weekend.

Got most of the pieces bolted together for the driveline, I am waiting on my seal for the transfer case before I bolt it up, and than drop it on the frame.

And I got the new trans cross member bolted in. What a pain that was to get into place! All in all slowly but surely it is coming together!

Well trying to have the cab on the truck by Veterans Day! Being active duty I can't think of a better way to spend my time celebrating this holiday!

This is what I got done today! Motor put in with starter installed. (Side Note) Put the starter on the motor before you put the headers on! Or you have to take the headers back off to get the starter in place. Got the motor bolted down and the transfer case mount mocked in place. I did find out that the transfer case shifter that came out of the bronco is to long. So now the question is do I cut it down and hope I do it right or order a set of dual shifters for the NP205?

It doesn't seem like a whole lot but I have been at it most of the day! And some pictures for proof!

Been awhile but I have an update! Motor put back together all new hoses and belts and wires and plugs and yada yada yada! Steering stabilizers installed, and the body bolted back together. I have to do a little fine tuning with the body lining it up with the bed, get a driveshaft made, and do the brakes. She should be back on the open road sooner than later.

Now Pictures!

Worked on the interior today. Sealed all the holes, and put the carpet in! Also mounted the bucket seats and put on some seat covers until I can afford to have them done right.
