Funny that you would mention that. I may be getting out of the old truck business. If I don't get them in order soon, there won't be anything left to save. If I do sell, this will be the first place I list the trucks and parts. I don't know when that decision will be made though. I actually had a third 67 crew I was trying to buy, but the guy was a goof and wanted more than I paid for the black one and it wasn't as good as my white one. 67s are my favorites though. I will be watching your build.

I just found out today that my engine is getting bored .030 over and will be a 466 :woohoo: . Today I lapped the valves and they are Manly Race-Master 2.19/1.76.
And Yes I am going to grind that bump in the exhaust port down.

All in all they are now 80.4 cc chambers. These pictures were taken before the chambers and valves got finished.

I forgot to post that my roof is now partially blocked with a skim coat of body filler. I have selected my pistons which are Keith Black Hypreutectic with a 22cc dish so I will be able to run low octane and not have to worry about shattering the pistons. :D I at first thought I would have no choice but to go over 10:1 compression and run a high octane. Then I would have to worry about detonation but its going to be 9.2:1 which I wasn't too fond of at first. I wanted to run at least 10.5:1 but I learned why I can't. I will very soon be getting a crank. Well my "sweet sixteen" is coming up, anything in particular I should ask for? I was trying to think of truck parts since I have just about all of the engine parts. Maybe a set of whitefaced gauges. :maybe:

I finally got around to coloring my concept drawing. This paint job was inspired by the body lines on my 69 cougar. My favorite color is green and when I first saw grabber green I fell in love with the color all over again. I don't just want a plain color, I want a metallic green, hence, grabber green. Plus, I also fell in love with the tear drop hood scoop as soon as I found out about it. These two things are very important to me on this build. Those and a bench seat. The gray is going to be the gloss black.

I got the Eagle crank and Keith Black forged pistons and rings ordered up today. I thought I was going with the hyperuetectics, forged=awesome, its a direct link. :woohoo: I other news, the cougar is now requiring $600 headers custom made for the car since all the other ones are crap. Sold a car, so we were able to buy a little bit. :hd: But not too happy with Hooker Headers after two horrible experiences with them. :pout: More head work done on the 466, exhaust ports are SMOOOOOOOTH as heck. I like how they turned out. :D I took some pictures of trucks around my house today, will upload them soon. Maybe in the general discussion.

I got my heads just about finalized today. Lapping wasn't going the way I wanted it to so I decided to call it quits and finish tomorrow.
