HillBillyDelux,
I did find a couple of different throttle linkages here. And yesterday also found that my 79' dent gas pedal assembly is actually about one inch longer/taller in the engine compartment side. Here's a couple of pictures of the linkages that might help you. Both of the below measure about 10 and 1/2" long.
The homeade "extended" linkage from my 79' with a 302:

The 79' dentside offset linkage:

And a 460 cable linkage type intake manifold bracket:

I hope to use my dent pedal assembly, and find the cable and intake mount for my 302, (seems like I had one/can't seems to find it). :hmm:
IMO the cable type is a lot more forgiving than mechanical type linkage. Especially if you have worn cab bushings like I do. :2cents:

i took off the 1" carb spacer which allowed me to adjust my current linkage so i can now achieve both idle and WOT it runs a lot better and seems to have a tad better low end than with the spacer. It runs a lot better with the new intake and exhaust!! if i didnt know any better id think it was fast haha I think it still needs jetted down a tad tho

the front was a breeze but it was fairly difficult to get the rivets out of the rear. they grind down pretty easily but they're hard to knock out so you can get the bracket loose
